By using Cobrain you accept these terms. There are few of them and they are written to be read. If something does not sit right, write to us before signing up.

Cobrain is an online service for keeping notes in Markdown, in folders, which the artificial-intelligence programs you connect can read and write with your permissions, and which you can share in part with other people. It is in public beta: it works, we use it every day ourselves, but it can change and it can have faults. We ask you to bear that in mind and to report them to us.
You need a real email address you can access: that is how you sign in and how you recover access. You are responsible for what happens with your account and for keeping your mailbox secure. An account belongs to one person: it is not shared.
The notes are yours. We acquire no rights over them beyond those needed to show, search, share and export them for you, and to make them available to the programs you have authorised. We do not use them to train models and we do not read them, unless you ask us to for support.
You are responsible for what you write and share, including third-party data. Do not use Cobrain for unlawful content, to infringe other people’s rights, or to attack the service or other users. In such cases we may suspend the account, telling you so.
When you authorise a program to connect to your brain, that program works with exactly your permissions: it reads what you read, it writes where you can write. It is you who decide what to ask it and who check what it writes. The previous versions of every note remain recoverable according to your plan. You can revoke any authorisation whenever you want. What those programs do with what they read is governed by their terms, not ours.
You can share a branch (a folder or a note) with another person, read-only or read-write, according to your plan. Whoever receives it needs a free account and pays nothing. You are responsible for what you share and with whom. You can take a share back at any time.
The free plan does not expire and requires no card. The Pro plan costs €9 a month, VAT included; during the beta it cannot be bought yet. When it can, payment is monthly and can be cancelled whenever you want, taking effect at the end of the period already paid for. Each plan’s limits are on the pricing page.
If a payment fails, you have a week to sort it out. After that you return to the free plan: you lose no notes. The shares remain, but read-only: whoever could write goes back to reading only. Attachments already uploaded stay, no new ones are added, and the history shortens to the free plan’s. Reactivate and everything picks up where it was.
You can export the whole brain whenever you want, from the dashboard, as Markdown files. You can close the account by writing to us: we delete notes, versions and shares within thirty days. Anyone who had received a branch of yours stops seeing it.
We do our best to keep Cobrain available, and we keep backups. But it is a beta offered as it is: we do not guarantee it is free of errors or always reachable, and we are not liable for indirect damages or data loss beyond what the law requires. That is why we tell you to export, and make it easy.
We may change the service and these terms. If a change affects you, we tell you by email at least thirty days in advance. If you disagree, you can export and close the account before it takes effect.
